We had the pleasure of having Jen and Tim Cook for us while we stayed in koh samui and they were AMAZING! The food was always so tasty and of the highest standards. Jen taught us how to cook when we wanted to learn and was such a delight to be around. Jen was also able to adapt the menu to meet dietary requirements or to suit our needs. I would definitely have Jen and Tim cook for me again without a second thought. Thanks so much for the lovely food!

We were lucky enough to be put in contact with Jen via a friends recommendations. Her menu was amazing and also easily changed if you needed e.g gluten intolerant etc. The food prepared and served to us was of the highest quality and great value for money. Jen was also so friendly and more then happy to show us how thai food is prepared and cooked. Jen and Tim were amazing together! No thai food will ever compare. She will be remembered for all her beautiful lunches and dinners she made for us. But not only that she will also be a friend we will always remember and hopefully come back to visit. We love you Jen we would recommend her to anyone! Ten stars plus!!! Xxxx

Chef Jen came and cooked for us many times over the course of our 10 day stay in KS, including for my husband's birthday party. Not only is her food fresh, delicious and authentic, but Jen herself is great fun to have around. We would love to see her again on our next holiday.

After day 1 would could throw the menus away. Jen was helpful in suggesting and recommending local Thai dishes which made our holiday very enjoyable. Jen's personality and willingness to show how she cooks was an inspiration to us. Cooking should be fun and Jen certainly made it so.

Enjoyed the grilled tiger prawns and the sweet and sour dish was appreciated by the kids. The spring roll and chicken appetizers were great but the calamari fritters were a bit chewy. Overall a great meal and Jen was a great hostess.

Villa Chef Sevices on Koh Samui

Why not treat yourself and book a Thai Chef for a few meals or throughout your entire stay. You can order your meals for the day from our menu, Chef Jen then buys fresh ingredients at the market and creates freshly prepared Thai cuisine directly in your chosen villa or rental property.

Quality Food and Service

All ingredients are bought fresh at the market and all dishes are prepared freshly including sauces and marinades with no pre-packaged or processed frozen or non-frozen foods used wherever possible. Exceptions are with childrens' meals such as hot dogs and hamburgers, breakfast meats such as sausages and bacon, and basic Thai curry pastes which are used as a basis for most Thai dishes (with the exception of Jungle curry paste which is always prepared freshly). Jen, our enthusiastic and friendly chef is experienced and speaks very good English and will be able to advise you on the menu including recommending other dishes not published on the menu.

Breakfast Food/Ingredient Costs

Breakfast costs are low and invoiced at cost rate. Some example (approximate and subject to change) prices are shown below;

2L orange juice, loaf white bread, 1.5kg beef tomatoes, salted butter, 15 eggs, 24 thin pork sausages (1kg), 1kg wiltshire bacon, gouda cheese. Total cost of 950 THB.

Seafood Costs

Example seafood options and approximate costs are shown below. Costs are highly seasonal and dependent on weather. Prawns/crabs/squid can be bought by the half kilo

Note: Lobster needs to be ordered and is usually only available frozen from Phuket/Bangkok as they are usually not caught off coast of Koh Samui. Because of this we recommend prawns instead of lobster

Seafood Ideas

Prawns can be steamed or barbequed (recommended) and served with spicy seafood sauce. For curry dishes usually small prawns are used. Fish can be fried (with various sweet or spicy sauces), steamed with similar sauces or barbequed. Squid is generally always barbequed or fried with curry dishes. Crab can be steamed or cooked in a mild yellow curry with vegetables (recommended).

Other ingredients such as vegetables, chicken, pork, spare ribs are very cheap compared to western prices but we cannot list all prices here.
